1 - The New Fantasyland - Pinocchio Medley  6:02

Most of Disneyland's land of Fantasy underwent a major refurbishment in the early 1980's, reopening in 1983 as an all-new Fantasyland.  In addition to updates on all its classic attractions, a new Pinocchio ride was also included. The original queue area music intended for this attraction was a medley of familiar songs from the film.

2 - King Arthur Carrousel - Once Upon a Dream  2:20

The centerpiece of the Sleeping Beauty castle courtyard is the regal King Arthur Carrousel. It's prancing white steeds hartken back to the great charge of the legendary Knights of the Round Table and the heroic King Arthur of Camelot, whose famous Sword in the Stone is conspicuously positioned in the carrousel foreground.

3 - King Arthur Carrousel - Fantasyland Band Organ  23:51

Keeping in step with the calliope band organ are 68 antique, hand-carved, wooden carrousel horses that were salvaged from former amusement parks and brought to Disneyland in 1955. For many years, an authentic band organ provided live music for this attraction, playing many recognizable and well-loved Walt Disney standards.

4 - The Make-Believe Brass  8:22

When the new Fantasyland premiered  in 1983, a medieval court inspired musical troupe known as the Make-Believe Brass began daily perfomances in the Castle Courtyard, and remained a staple well into the '90's. They also provided live musical accompaniment to Merlin the Magician during the royal Sword in the Stone ceremony.

5 - Castle Courtyard Gift Shoppes - Area Background Music  13:33

The small courtyard area behind the castle contains some of the only Fantasyland architecture that has remained untouched since Disneyland's opening day. Here there are several charming gift boutique specializing in Disney merchandise, and familiar themes from Walt Disney's animated films can be heard in many of these shops.

6 - Disney Villain's Lair - Area Background Music  25:43

For many years, one of Fantasyland's most popular shops was devoted to all the many Disney villains that we love to hate. There were toys, t-shirts, figurines, jewelry and all manor of strange novelty items themed to represent the classic bad-guys from Disney's cannon of animated films. The music heard here was also derived from these films.

7 - Disney Villain's Lair - Caged Old Hag  1:32

In the back of the Villain's Lair, inside a cage, was a talking witch bearing a striking resemblance to the evil villain from Walt Disney's Snow White. For years she had been located in the Disneyana shop on Main Street, and later would move to New Orleans Square. Who knows if and when she will make her next startling appearance?

8 - The Witch's Dungeon  2:01

The evil queen peers down at visitors from high up in her ominous tower at the entrance to Snow White's Scary Adventures. Inside her frightening dungeon guests hear the rush of ghostly wind, the screeches of a raven and the terrifying cackles of an old hag. On display is a book of magic spells and the recipe for a poisoned apple.

9 - Snow White's Scary Adventures - Queue Area Background Music  7:03

The original score from Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs can be heard throughout the Snow White's Scary Adventures attraction. In the queue area guests hear an instrumental medley of such classic musical favorites as Someday My Prince Will Come, Heigh-Ho, Whistle While You Work and With a Smile and a Song.

10 - Snow White's Scary Adventures  3:26

A mine cart brings passengers on a tour of the seven dwarf's cottage and a diamond mine filled with glowing gemstones. They then travel through the evil Queen's sorcery chamber, skeleton filled dungeons, the haunted forest and dangerous storm swept cliffs where the witch meets her end, and Snow White lives happily ever after.

11 - Peter Pan's Flight - Queue Area Background Music  8:40

In the queue area for Peter Pan's Flight, as guests await their flight to Neverland, they hear music from the marvelous original soundtrack of the 1953 Walt Disney animated classic, Peter Pan, including favorites such as You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!, Never Smile at a Crocodile, A Pirate's Life and Following the Leader.

12 - Peter Pan's Flight  6:53

Peter Pan's Flight is one of Disneyland's most time-honored and beloved attractions. Aboard pirate galleons, sprinkled with pixie dust, passengers set sail with Peter Pan for a magical flight high above London, past the second star to the right and straight on to Neverland, where they encounter Captain Hook and the grinning crocodile.

13 - Pinocchio's Daring Journey - Queue Area Background Music  4:22

The music recorded for the new dark ride based on the animated classic,"Pinocchio," eventually was only used for the Tokyo Disneyland version of the ride. Because the queue area evokes the same Swiss-Italian village as seen in the movie, it was decided to instead use music from the original film soundtrack to serve as a backdrop.

14 - Pinocchio's Daring Journey  6:07

From an enchanted woodcarver's cart, guests join Pinocchio on a harrowing journey through his many moral misadventures. First traveling through Stromboli's puppet theater and then Pleasure Island, passengers narrowly escape the jaws of Monstro the whale, before reaching a happy ending back home in Geppetto's Toy Shop.

15 - Pinocchio Village Haus - Area Background Music  7:02

Beneath towering steeples and chimneys, wrought iron weathervanes and steeply swaying roofs with gabled turrets, we find the charming Pinocchio Village Haus, a favorite Fantasyland eatery. Within this fast food establishment, the distinctive sound of Swiss polkas and Alpine yodelers provides the appropriate musical ambiance.

16 - Dumbo Flying Elephants - Fantasyland Band Organ  3:36

Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a favorite attraction for anyone who is of preschool age and younger, but parents delight even more when they see the sheer joy it brings to the eyes of their little ones. Dumbo represents the true spirit of fantasy, and reminds everyone to believe in their dreams and soar above the clouds.

17 - Mr. Toad's Wild Ride - Queue Area Background Music  3:25

There were three original  indoor attractions, or dark-rides, featured in Fantasyland. Walt Disney specifically selected these in order to represent three different aspects of  childhood fantasy. The Snow White Adventure represented fear, Peter Pan's Flight represented beauty, and of course, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride represented... fun.

18 - Mr. Toad's Wild Ride  4:39

To travel the road with Mr. Toad is a wild ride few can ever forget. Aboard antique motorcars, passengers crash through the stately ancestral home of J. Thaddeus Toad, speeding through the English countryside, a dynamite factory and the streets of old London, before careening head on into a locomotive and through a fiery inferno.

19 - Alice in Wonderland - Queue Area Background Music  11:00

The Fantasyland dark rides all received complete makeovers in the early 1980's, as part of an extensive Fantasyland remodel. For these new adventures, several sweeping musical scores were incorporated, adapting the original orchestrations from several of Walt Disney's classic animated features, including Alice in Wonderland.

20 - Alice in Wonderland - Boarding Announcements  0:43

Fantasyland's indoor attractions are referred to as "dark rides" because they make extensive use of glow-in-the-dark scenic elements that are illuminated under black lighting, but a good portion of the Alice in Wonderland dark ride takes place in the out of doors, including the loading area, where guest board giant caterpillars.

21 - Alice in Wonderland  7:09

From the rabbit hole of the White Rabbit, guests journey down, down, down and into the world of Alice's daydreams, passing through a giant garden of live flowers, the nonsensical Tulgy Wood, and the royal grounds of the Queen of Hearts croquet tournament before joining the Mad Hatter's unbirthday party for an explosive finish.

22 - The Mad Tea Party  1:17

Fantasyland's iconic spinning teacup ride has been dizzifying Disneyland guests ever since opening day. It was originally located directly behind the carousel, but was relocated in 1983 to the courtyard in front of the Alice in Wonderland attraction. The attraction is underscored by tootful teapots singing the Unbirthday Song.

23 - The Matterhorn Bobsleds - Jack Wagner Introduction  0:21

The Matterhorn Bobsleds were one of three major new attractions that were part of the Magic Kingdom's largest expansion project of the 1950's, which also included both the Submarine Voyage and the Disneyland Alweg Monorail System in Tomorrowland. These exciting additions were in fact Disneyland's very first 'E' Ticket attractions.

24 - Matterhorn Bull Pen - Queue Area Background Music  12:55

For efficiency purposes, there are actually two separate tracks that run down the icy slopes of the Matterhorn, and the queue area, commonly referred to as the bull pen by Disney cast members and park regulars, contains two lines, one for each track. The music heard here is a collection of Swiss polkas and traditional yodels.

25 - The Matterhorn Bobsleds  4:32

Guests brace against howling winds as they climb over 80 feet high inside the cavernous lair of the legendary Abominable Snowman. At the summit, guests begin a high-speed bobsled run back down the mountain, careening around corners, weaving around brilliantly glowing ice cystals, and splashing down into an Alpine lake.

26 - Topiary Gardens & Small World Clock Parade  6:56

Surrounded by its whimsical topiary gardens, the kinetic façade of It's a Small World contains a series of stylized icons depicting famous world landmarks. At the center is a 30-foot animated clock tower. Every 15 minutes the clock wildly springs into motion as a parade of 24 internationally themed figures march around its base.

27 - It's a Small World  24:05

Here in this world of imagination, love and laughter, guests set sail on a musical expedition to visit the happy children of the world, each singing the Small World theme in a musical style representing their many native lands. The colorful stylized look of this attraction was created by famed children's illustrator Mary Blair.
